New York in the early 1980s: John Lennon is being stalked, Bobby Sands is dying, the Reagan revolution has just begun and doctors are at the brink of identifying a mystery disease which will later become known as AIDS. Sean has just arrived from Ireland and is looking for his girlfriend, Mary. But everything is about to change when he meets Danny McCorley, a hard-hitting, book-loving, gay immigrant construction worker with a shadowy past in the Irish Republican movement.
