When nurse Mercy Lynch receives a telegram to say her father is gravely injured and wishes to see her, she sets out towards Seattle. She boards a train pulled by a terrifying Union-operated steam engine called the Dreadnought. The train is beset by bushwhackers, then attacked by a band of Rebel soldiers.
